What does IQF mean and how is it different?

IQF stands for Individual Quick Frozen. Unlike traditional freezing methods that freeze products in large blocks, IQF freezes each piece individually. This preserves the texture, flavor, and nutritional value of each fruit or vegetable piece, and allows you to use only the amount you need without thawing a whole block.

The IQF process involves exposing individual food items to extremely cold temperatures (-30°C to -40°C) for a short period, forming ice crystals that are small enough not to damage the cellular structure of the food. This results in superior quality compared to traditional block freezing methods.

Are your IQF products as nutritious as fresh?

Yes! Our IQF process locks in nutrients at peak freshness, often making our frozen products more nutritious than "fresh" produce that may have spent days in transit. We harvest and freeze at the perfect ripeness to preserve maximum vitamins and minerals.

Studies have shown that properly frozen fruits and vegetables can retain comparable or even higher levels of certain nutrients compared to fresh produce that has been stored for several days. This is because our products are frozen within hours of harvest, while "fresh" produce may lose nutrients during transportation and storage.

  • Store away from freezer door where temperature fluctuates
  • Use airtight containers if original packaging is opened
  • Follow "first in, first out" rotation

What's the shelf life of your frozen fruits and vegetables?

Properly stored at 0°F (-18°C) or below, our premium IQF fruits and vegetables maintain optimal quality for 8-12 months. For best results, please refer to the 'best by' date on each package.

While the products remain safe to eat beyond this period if kept continuously frozen, we recommend using within the suggested timeframe for best quality in terms of:
